Did you know the week of November 16-24 is National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week? Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is an annual program where people come together across the country to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness by spending the week holding a series of service events.
In honor of this important week, The705 members are returning to St. Joseph Diner to help prepare and serve lunch on Sunday, November 24th for the dinner shift. We'll meet at the diner at 4:30 p.m. and stay for clean-up until 6:30 p.m. Come spend your holiday season time serving others! Hurry and sign up now -- only 4 volunteer slots are available for this service event.
A free dinner is provided for lunch and dinner every day to anyone experiencing hunger and homelessness in Acadiana. St. Joseph Diner is open 364 days a year to prepare and serve three meals a day to individuals and families - over 100,000 meals are shared each year at the diner.
